Education opportunities are offered through meetings, including an annual conference with NAMSS-approved CEU credits. We offer educational support to our members by sponsoring a chat line, as well as other non traditional programs that include current information updates. Degree Programs in Medical Staff Services:
National American University offers a Associate of Applied Science Degree in Medical Staff Services Management - Legal cases during the past decade have drawn national attention to the importance of credentialing and peer review in hospitals and other credentialing organizations. Because of this trend, the role of the medical staff services management professional has also grown in importance. To carry out the duties of the medical staff services director or coordinator, a person must possess the knowledge and skills related to medical staff services administration, accreditation and regulatory compliance, management of credentialing processes, privileging, risk management, medical staff law, peer review and information management.
The Medical Staff Services Management degree program is offered both on-line and in a blended format to accommodate those currently in the profession, those new to the profession, and those wanting to pursue the profession.
El Centro College offers an Associate in Applied Sciences for Medical Staff Services degree program, available online from the E-campus of the Dallas Community College District.

CPCS/CPMSM Yahoo Chat Line is an independent service and is not affiliated with SCAMSS. This is an email study group for persons preparing for the CPCS and the CPMSM exam. Although the exam is given by NAMSS, this group is not affiliated with NAMSS, or any national, state, or local organization. They are a group of Credentialing professionals who will be studying for the exam and wish to converse with others in the same situation. Topics for discussion will be NCQA and JC standards, credentialing law cases and other topics included on the CPCS and CPMSM exams. |
